Dear participants! We have not yet launched Application 2 in the project. We need an assistant for this. If anyone has experience with BOINC please email me or Corporal. Now I am running this Application on my computer. I suggest everyone try this. Download and extract the SPT5.zip archive into a separate folder https://disk.yandex.ru/d/9oARkE-ZzXD8ug The archive contains five tasks (WUs), which are recorded in files inp1.txt, inp2.txt, …, inp5.txt. Next there are five work programs sp1.txt, sp2.txt, …, sp5.txt. There is also a program called gp.exe. Run all work programs in the same folder using the following command lines gp sp1.txt gp sp2.txt gp sp3.txt gp sp4.txt gp sp5.txt All five tasks will be calculated simultaneously. The results will be written to files res1.txt, res2.txt, ..., res5.txt Requires OS Windows 64-bit. The tasks will take several hours to complete. When the task is completed, the console will close. Please message me if you have tried this task. I can give out individual tasks to everyone. |

N, How long does it take to run? I have it running on an Intel i7-9750H @2.6GHz on a Lenovo laptop computer. I'm seeing the results file created and the application appears to be running OK in its CMD window. V |

The tasks will take several hours to complete. On my computer, one task takes approximately 33 hours to complete. I perform two tasks at the same time (in parallel). If your computer has, for example, 8 cores, you can run all five tasks simultaneously. |

Dear participants! So far, two tasks have been reported that they are calculate. Tasks 3, 4, 5 are free. About time. If it's very long, I can reduce the interval in the task by half and the time will be halved. |

Got results from task #2. Thanks. No interesting solutions found. |

The experiment is completed. Thanks to the participants. Completed tasks 1, 2 and partially 3. This experiment requires a more powerful computer. One of the participants in the experiment wants to continue computing in this problem. He rented a server for this. I gave him 10 new tasks. I invite other participants to this experiment. Please write to me by PM or by e-mail natalimak1@yandex.ru PS. I will complete tasks 3, 4, 5 myself. |

This experiment requires a more powerful computer. More powerful than a Ryzen 9 7950X with 32GB of memory? I have 3 running BOINC projects. |

This experiment requires a more powerful computer. 1. I talked about individual tasks. This is not the same as what works in the BOINC “SPT test project”. 2. One of the participants performed an individual task on a laptop AMD A6-9225 RADEON R4, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G [Family 21 Model 112 Stepping 0] (2 processors) He only completed one task. It took a very long time to complete. 3. The second participant completed only 2 tasks completely, and the third task partially. After which his computer froze. Therefore, the experiment was declared a failure. But if there are people interested, we can continue. By the way, I prepared 10 tasks for the first participant, halving them. But his laptop still can't handle it. He completed two tasks and stopped. He calculate in the project “SPT test project”. |

Hello Natalia I put a second workstation for SPT into operation shortly. You can send me an email on my account. I would then unlock the Threadripper 5965WX for download over the weekend for some tasks. But it would be even nicer if the project was listed in boinc stats like gerasim Greetings Merlin1954 |

You might want to list why those lower end systems were struggling with the application. Was it disk IO heavy? RAM constraint in the system causing virtual memory to be used? Over heating because laptops are very poorly designed for heavy computing? Maybe a CPU cache limitation? You have to keep in mind that the AMD A6-9225 RADEON R4 CPU is a low end CPU after all. It wouldn't take much to get a beefier CPU for testing... |

It wouldn't take much to get a beefier CPU for testing... I can't list the reasons on someone else's laptop. The third participant in the experiment completed 8 tasks. He performed 4 tasks simultaneously. This was performed on Ryzen 7950X systems. Everything was done quite quickly. However, the participant did not want to continue the calculations, advising me to implement the experiment in BOINC. I would gladly follow his advice, but, unfortunately, I do not know how to launch new Applications in a BOINC project. I have already written several times that I am looking for an assistant who will help Corporal and I do this. I carry out the experiment tasks on computers that a colleague allocated to me for remote control. I do not have any problems. I publish reports about the experiment in the topic https://boinc.progger.info/odlk/forum_thread.php?id=247 |

Hello dear participants of the project! Read the latest news about the experiment here https://boinc.progger.info/odlk/forum_thread.php?id=247&postid=12995 I invite everyone to take part in the experiment. If you have a server, you can run this experiment in BOINC right now. Please write to me at natalimak1@yandex.ru I really need your help! |

I have finalized a new algorithm of search 19-tuple with a minimum diameter of 252. The program is published here https://disk.yandex.ru/d/s6401QqWZF0aTw More details in the message https://boinc.progger.info/odlk/forum_thread.php?id=264&postid=13078 If there are programmers here, please suggest optimization of the program. |
